Job Title: Human Resources Specialist/Manager
Job Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Specialist/Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, training and development, and regulatory compliance. The HR Specialist/Manager will work closely with all departments and management to ensure that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and followed.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and candidate selection
- Facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation programs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Manage employee relations and provide support and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related issues
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend performance improvement plans as necessary
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Monitor and manage HR budgets and expenditures
- Continuously evaluate and improve HR policies and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness and compliance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
Physical Demands: The HR Specialist/Manager may need to sit or stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds. This position may require occasional travel to attend meetings or training sessions.
Working Conditions: The HR Specialist/Manager typically works in an office environment, but may occasionally work remotely. This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to accommodate business needs.
Salary: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
