A program administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a program or department within an organization. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for the program or department
- Manage budgets and financial resources, including forecasting and reporting on expenses and revenue
- Develop and maintain partnerships and collaborations with external organizations and stakeholders
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and team members
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
- Monitor program or department performance, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to improve program or department effectiveness and efficiency
- Coordinate and manage program or department activities, including meetings, events, and other initiatives
- Supervise and mentor team members, including recruiting, training, and performance management
- Develop and deliver program or department communications and presentations
- Prepare reports and other materials for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, public administration, or social sciences
- Previous experience in program administration or a related field is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database management
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Knowledge of program evaluation and data analysis is preferred, but not required
