Position Title: Risk Manager

Position Overview: The Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks that could impact an organization's financial performance or reputation. They work closely with stakeholders across the organization to identify and evaluate potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. The Risk Manager plays a key role in helping the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives by managing risk in a proactive and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify potential risks that could impact the organization's financial performance or reputation, including operational, financial, legal, and strategic risks.
• Assess the likelihood and potential impact of each risk and develop strategies to mitigate or manage them.
• Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management policies and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for further development.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, internal audit, legal, and compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of non-compliance with regulations and standards.
• Ensure that the organization is compliant with relevant regulations and standards related to risk management, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, ISO 31000, and COSO.
• Develop and deliver risk management training and education programs for employees across the organization.
• Manage relationships with external partners, such as insurers and brokers, to ensure that the organization is adequately protected against potential risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field. An MBA or a professional certification in risk management is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify trends and patterns.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks and methodologies, such as ISO 31000 and COSO.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to risk management, such as Sarbanes-Oxley and GDPR.
• Knowledge of insurance and risk financing strategies.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with risk management software, such as RSA Archer or MetricStream.
